Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

That came out super nice. Is that powder coated or just spray painted? Either way, Fantastic job on the repaint and rebuild.

I'm guessing the quintessential garage door pic is mainly used since it's a convenient surface to prop the bike against, and a (typically) light uniform color which gives a good contrast so that all the bike parts can be seen easier, since bike parts are usually relatively thin and can be hard to make out against a non-uniform backdrop.

Amiritre? I must admit that I really can't find any such empty wall surface inside my house that doesn't have stuff in front of it or near it. So the garage door fits the bill.

Accidentally caught myself at the bike shop on a perfect autumn Monday afternoon. Why not demo a few bikes? Oops. Here's my new Roubaix Expert SL4. No idea how a frame so stiff, light and responsive can be so comfortable to ride at the same time. But it is. Thank you, Specialized. Going to enjoy this one.

When I end up at a bike shop, I usually just end up buying more gels or drink mixes.

Great looking bike though, love the flat black/blue detailing.

Adjusted (rotated) the bars up a bit a couple weeks ago, but last night I rotated them back down. The drops feel much better now, and I can access the controls while in the drops way easier. Feels pretty good on the hoods, as well. I've been trying to adjust the saddle to get it perfectly level but level keeps evading me. It's either slightly up or slightly down. This morning I think I got it just slight down from level.

Better pic from last night:

My current road bike is a 2007 Marin of some sort, bought used in 2009 and never found the correct model. Has everything (to my knowledge) stock still and even still on the first set of tires, although the back is pretty much fried after 2000 or so miles. Has carbon rear and front forks and sooner or later when I get back home ill get a picture of it. Living at the college campus with my commuter now. I use a Schwinn hybrid here on campus. Needed something on the cheaper side so I don't worry about leaving it outside 24/7.
