Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Its not got many standard parts left on it, luckily someone else took the hit upgrading everything then came along and bought it for a song! There are some fantastic bikes on here Teevoe's Fuji on page 834 being an awesome example, and he has a fine taste in saddle!

I really like those bikes. The specialized SS especially.

LOL! I am transitioning from a Giant Defy which was even higher than that. In time, the flip will happen.

Specialized allez Elite (Flat Bar)

Had some modification's done by the LBS, (LakeShore Schwinn) awesome guys

R600 Wheelset
10 speed rear
Compact FSA crank
Carbon seat post, handlebar, brake levers
Ultegra, FD & rear
105 brakes
FD-770 Flat Bar Shifters
GATORHARDSHELLS 700 x 23c
Bike weight was a little more than expected : 20.5 pounds

I love riding with Flatbars, this bike turned out GREAT.
Handles good, with fast starts, easy on my back, smooth riding, perfect for an all around town bike,
Really pleased with the mods.

My 2012 Fuji Altamira 2.0...

I bought a trainer yesterday and was messing around in the house with my bike, thought it'd be cool to get a picture of it in front of my other hobby but it didn't com out all that well. Need to get a proper photo outside.

The fish were trying to attack it when I first leaned it against the tank.

Nice looking bike but great looking monster tank. I believe I see rays, pbass, and a few other beauties in there. What size aquarium?

I have a love hate relationship with that tank...before I had my current job, I worked mostly from home, made my own hours and could care for the tank. Now it gets neglected - I actually just lost my 3 biggest pbass when I was on vacation a couple of weeks ago. One of my pumps went out, causing less ripples, causing less oxygen and the person feeding the fish didn't realize this and didn't know what to do. I'm now actually investigating having someone care for the tank, do water changes, etc on a weekly basis - I love the tank and it cost a fair amount of money so I hate to give it up.

It is a 450g with pbass, 2 motoro rays (breeding pair), an indo dat, a tiger shovel nose catfish and a lima shovel nose catfish.
I also have a 210g growout which is home to 4 chocolate cichlids, 8 geo cichlids (2 different varieties) and a baby motoro ray.
I have a 120g which is home to a couple bichirs and a sun catfish - tank is pretty empty.
And last but not least, I have a 1500g pond in the backyard with 12 koi and 10 turtles of various varieties.

My partner and I work in the pet industry so we have a bit of a zoo at our house.

I'm very jealous, I have a 300 gallon but I lost most of my prized cichlids from Rapps and the Fish Farm last Summer when we had a 10 day power outage and this winter when I had a few days without power. I have a 210 with a single male dovii, it was a pair but lost the female a couple of weeks ago when the male went psycho. Also have a 55 for the Oscar.

Sorry to hear about the power outage...if it's one thing i've learned in my years of fish keeping is some times things just happen and you can't do anything about it. I've also learn that its a fish eat fish world too, that TSN has destroyed a handfull of cheap petsmart fish that he thought would fit in his mouth.

I got my rays from Rapps, he's a great guy, always lets me know when he's getting in good fish. I almost bought some rare rays from him, but I couldn't bring myself to drop $3k on fish.

I have two empty 55's out in the garage for quarantine tanks as well. When I get into a hobby, I tend to immerse myself in it and blow every extra dollar I have on it...hence the brand new Fuji a month after I bought a fixed gear....after not riding since high school.

That is a very good looking bike. I normally dislike the DA wheels but they really pull your build together well.

Thanks Ross and Mike F!

I would have preferred something stealthy/black on black for the wheelset but i got a pretty sweet deal on the C50's. that they matched the foil 20's colors is pure (but fortunate) coincidence.

I think the wheels look great. I saw a pair of C35's in an LBS a few months back and fell in love
