Do you have the carbon Revenio? Post a pic...

I would like to get ahold of a carbon 1.0 frame and build it up. Great riding bikes!!

I recently got into road biking. I was fortunate enough to find a brand new 2010 (yes, brand spankin' new, but a few years old, wraps and seat still in plastic) Trek 1.5. Yes it is the 9 speed instead of 10, but all Tiagra which is awesome! I picked this up for $800 out the door. I am pretty pumped about that. I had also found a Trek dealer with a 2012 1.5, but that would have been about $1000 out the door. I will post up a photo in the next day or two.

I will likely sell my BMC before the season even begins. I haven't ridden it with any verve since last year, and besides, I've never felt the itch to race anyway. There's a local rider who's a beast on the road, and he's going for my asking price for it. He'll get a lot more use out of it than I ever will.

Hand-picked parts mix, spending where it counts; highlights being 7800 shifters and, not in this pic, a 6700 crank. He even grinned when I told him that the crank arms are 175mm -- that's his size. It would be hard to explain the bike to someone I don't know, but we've seen each other around for maybe 5-6 years now. He'll get a kick out of it.

Aw cmon man, hold on to it. As an owner of 2 BMCs I couldn't help but appreciate the old frame too such as that one and this:

They're very unique and I can see why a lot of people were intrigued back then.

    Very nice bike.

Yeah, it's a great bike, but my SLX01 is just taking up space (the tires are flat now), and I guess I like looking at it more than I like riding it. It's fast and stiff, which would be good for someone else -- I don't need to get so beat up every time I go out for a ride. This guy hits 35+ on the flats; he'll take advantage of it for sure.

A GF01 may be in my future, so I'm not throwing out BMCs altogether.

ahh, yeah the GF01 will suit your needs for sure. that bike screams "you can ride this bike all-damn-day comfortably"

TMR01 on my very short list (hopefully) 2-3 yrs from now when I get sick of my RM01

Just got it today 2012 Trek Madone 4.5 I skipped aluminum and went straight for carbon on my first purchased road bike. I took it out for a 20 mile ride and it is simply wonderful. A bit distracting though because now all I can think about is riding it.

Envious, I wanted carbon on my first road bike but just couldn't swing it. Had to do aluminum. I'm just glad I got one with 10sp 105 setup.

When I started looking I was going for aluminum and I was deciding between a TCR SL 2 and a CAAD 10 5. I decided on the Madone when I went to the Trek store to get some new bibs I saw a Madone 3.1 that I was interested in but it was too big for me but one of the other stores had a 4.5 in my size for a little more than the 3.1 and I bit, it was on clearance so I got a good price. It ended up costing slightly more than the 2013 Madone 2.3.

That's awesome. My next bike is definitely going to be Ti. Next ride is basically going to be the "forever bike", so all things considered, going with the titanium.
