image.jpgimage.jpgThe Jamis Xenith I put together from parts and will be used when the weather turns. The Classic is my bike and was built in the early 80's. We rode 3 centuries together and is still a great ride. Looking forward to getting serious and training for the Seagull Century. Been too long and too many pounds since I did my last century. Currently riding on the trainer but looking forward to warmer months ahead.

Specialized Tarmac Expert SL4 (10r) w full Ultegra (electric), Dura Ace wheels, Zipp stem. This bike replaces a 3 year old Tarmac Expert SL (10r) w Fulcrum Racing One wheels. The new bike is way better in every way - lighter, stiffer, smoother, more stable at speed, more stable in a hard turn. jhglaw

My two current rides. 2013 Trek 1.2 I received as a present earlier this year, and my 1981 Trek 715.

Looking at these pictures makes me look forward to summer.

my three bikes (N+1 formula still in effect)

As part of my new member introduction I thought I'd share pics from the stable.

My oldest one is not pictured - it's a 1997 Klein Attitude in royal blue. Just as good as the day I got it.

This past Spring I picked up a Cervélo P2 2012 for my first triathlon (Nations Tri in DC this Fall)

    p2.jpg

and then a couple of months later I got a road bike to complement the TT frame. That one is the pictured Cervélo R3 2012.

    r3.jpg

It's currently waiting for new shoes - a HED Ardennes SL set with built in Powertap G3 hubs.

Is that little speck on the rear spoke a magnet for your garmin? If so, what kind is it? I hate the giant round ones.

Yep. I'd never seen one before, but the LBS pulled one out as I was leaving yesterday and stuck it on. I think it's this one here, but there's no Shimano markings on mine.

If you are looking for a minimalist look, these are pretty cool. I use 'em. They were a little teeny bit tricky to install -I used JB Weld. But they work fine and look great.

2013 Madone 2.3 upgraded with a Bontrager RXL handlebar, Bontrager RXL Aerobars, Ultegra 6800 crankset, Ultegra 6800 chain, Ultegra 6800 pedals, Ultegra 6700 cassette and Bontrager R2 tires. Put 3000 miles this past year and loved every minute and dollar spent.

Ooh, very interesting. I wonder how big of a pain it would be to remove them? i guess if need be, you could always just replace the spoke.
