Xir 01-26-14 09:17 AM

It's a 49cm. I'm 5'4" tall. I really liked the color on this one, black and white didn't inspire me much. It's an Allez Elite, Tiagra group with the exception of the brakes and crank.

Very nice start, I like Tiagra. Excellent starting group. Curious, what pedals are you running?

Xir 01-26-14 09:38 AM

Shimano 105s. They might be hard to identify from the pictures since I've done a few slow motion falls and have scratched them a bit.

therh 01-26-14 09:43 AM

I have the same 105's as well, and yes the scratch easy, if you are learning to use bike pedals. ( I know from experience, lol )

where did you get that tiny bike stand?

iamtim 01-27-14 02:31 PM

So last year I picked up a Motobecane Vent Noir frame/fork set from Bike Island to upgrade my old Trek 1000. Really nice Kinesis set. I rode it for a while before I came across a pseudo-family member selling a Trek 5200 US Postal bike for $200 with Mavic Ksyrium Elites, full Ultegra/DA, and Bontrager Blade CF bars; I snapped that up to use the parts on my Vent Noir. When I saw it, though, I decided to ride it because it was really cool. A couple of weeks back, the forks cracked. Last week, cracks started showing up where the chain-stays meet the BB shell, and I could hear it creaking. So, I moved all the parts onto my Vent Noir. Here it is now, I think it looks really sweet:

It needs new brake cables (the ones I moved over are too short) and to be put in front of your garage door shifted to the big chainring and small cog for a better picture, this was taken minutes after tightening everything down except the brake cables.

1999 GT something or other, aluminum frame, unpainted, shimano 600 all around

Nice bike, but all I can really think about is how odd of a spot that is to put a bike. :p
