1996 Specialized A1 Road (56cm)
Before: http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/xq90/543/pq18.jpg After: http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/xq90/534/4ucr.jpg Changes: Civia Emerson Shallow drop bar, 60mm stem, carbon fiber bottle cage, 13-26 Cassette, Oval Concepts Saddle Will be going back to 100mm stem once I get used to being on a road bike and get a bit more flexible. Thinking I'll leave the cassette until I can spin out the top gear on the flats. This is my first road bike. I read a ton of posts on here, got fitted at a bike shop then bought from a guy on craigslist for $200. Pretty happy with it, can't wait for the weather to be above 40F. |

Thanks, Rock Chalk all the way! If it weren't for basketball, winter would be so, so long.

Was watching some cyclo-x, the dismount looks cool but how they just jump back on that bike looks downright scary. Power to ya ;)

Hey guys! New to the site and thought this would be a good place to look to for answers. I am currently looking for a new road bike but am not sure what is a good deal. I have been looking at this http://www.bikesdirect.com/products/...lt_dt_xiii.htm bike. I can not afford something super expensive but would like a good quality bike. I ride for exercise and enjoyment but I also ride for a lot of charities. One in which is a 150 mile ride it two days. Does anyone have any input, suggestions, etc... Thank you!

Custom built Guru frame with Dura Ace 9 speed. Old but reliable - climbed Mt. Washington a handful of times with this:

I would think a carbon seat mast would be perfect on there but you pulled it off nicely with the matching stem GF's are great frames!
