Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Here are my rigs. My SL-1 is undergoing a Di2 transplant as we speak and should be ready in a couple hours. Defintely excited about the changes for this years race season. The other bikes not pictured are my Merlin Titanium and girlfriends Fuji Sportif, also undergoing a full ultegra transplant from my SL-1.

I wouldnt say I am a Fuji fanboy as Ive had numerous other bikes from different manufactures and love them all, but having worked a company that deals with ASI, Its hard to not pass up a great product and unbeatable pro deal prices.

Heres my real money pit and hobby

Daily Driven, Caged, track prepped.

Fully tuned Stage 3 set up.

I agree with you about Celeste and Bianchi going hand in hand. The red bits don't bother me as much, however.

Panza, did they repair the frame and also repaint it Celeste? Or did they give you a new frame?

I love Bianchis in Celeste. In Europe (and specially in Italia) riders go for style in their bikes (as well as performance) so colors like Celeste are extremely popular. I guess they don't have the hang ups that some riders here have.

A historical note. Mussolini tried to change the color of the winner's jersey in the Giro d'Italia because he thought that the rosa maglia was too girlish for the winner of such a difficult race. To this day winning the rosa maglia is considered one of cycling's most difficult achievements.

And what about Il Duce? Once defeat became imminent, he tried to escape but was eventually captured. He was then executed and hung upside down, like a big, fat piece of prosciutto.

So much for his stupid machismo.

Thank you, I bought the Bottecchia new back in 1989. The only changed I have made to it is to upgrade to Campy Athena 11speed. The frame still hums when I ride it.

Got my first road bike almost a year ago on Memorial Day weekend. A Cannondale Women's Synapse Carbon 5 105
It's a beautiful first ride

I also recently got a Scott Contessa Speedster 35 which I am going to be riding across the US this summer, from Baltimore to Portland. Heavier with an aluminum frame and carbon fork, and lower-end components. Just hoping it'll be more durable for the 4,400 mile ride.

Too lazy to take pics. I am in bed and the bikes are downstairs in the living room and garage.

They replaced it with a new celest frame. : )
Mussolini was probably insecure about his manlihood.

I'm jealous of our assortment! It looks like both of your bikes match roughly in color as well, must make for easier outfit choicing. : )

Il Duce was insecure about a lot of things. By the end of the war most Italians hated him.

Your new bike looks great in Celeste.

Haha yes. All my kit is pretty much color coordinated, though it wasn't entirely intentional.

Beautiful bike, great value. Get a really good lock, it's very eye catching, super flashy bike. Perfect bike to steal, be easy to resell it.

Celeste is definitely the best color for the Bianchi's. I'm assuming that's the new CV frame?
