What road bike do you have?

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

As some French dude was trying to dub over this video in English, I wasn't able to hear or understand what was said in French.

But seriously... The video is nonsense, right?

If you don't see that this is in jest, then you have no sense of humor.

Of course. I was all into it and thought it was serious until he staid on the "fact that it could provide aesthetic advantage over other bicycles."

My first "real" road bike in 25 years, and so far I love it >1 year later. 105/Ultegra components and I have really liked the Aksium wheelset.

This is from the original group buy. Still going strong.

GT Edge, Dura Ace 8 speed (except the 105 shifters). As soon as I can find some DA8 brifters on the cheap this will be set up as a proper road bike again. As it is now it's my favorite around-town bike I've ever had.

My first, and only non-walmart/junk bike. I use it for everything, so the fenders are great for not getting dirty going to class or riding through puddles and grass for fun .
It's my introduction into the world of road bicycling! I've had it for about a year and a half, but I haven't gone the distance (century) with it yet. I've done 3 80 mile rides, but that's as far as it's gone. Someday though...

Sorry about the messed up attachments. Here's some pics!
(The second cage is only rubber banded up when I use the bike for commuting so that it doesn't catch my pants. I use the Soma double gate cages because the primary usage of the bike is to get me from my dorms to school and running various errands).

Something's wrong with the attachments! I recommend imageshack.us for images... let's see that bad boy!

Carl Strong Ti, had about 3 1/2 years now.
Wheels are new. I am getting closer to the point of diminishing returns.

Just picked up this '07 Specialized Roubaix Elite Triple a couple of weekends ago. (The "elite" label was to distinguish it from the aluminum model back when they had one; it's now the entry level.)

Was $1000 on Craigslist. only 100 miles so far but no obvious problems. big step up from my commuter bike!

my very first road bike: 2010 Motobecane leChampion SL titanium.

i've never had a road bike before, so i have nothing to really compare it against, but i can say she rides like a dream compared my old raleigh MTB/hybrid/commuter. it's like riding a bolt of unrelenting lightning, i've already shaved around 5-7 minutes off of my daily commute with my new pony. i realize that bikesdirect.com bikes don't turn too many heads or rate terribly high on the snob-o-meter, but for the $2,000 price tag, i kinda feel like i practically stole the thing. how can they possibly make any money selling titanium frame road bikes with full ultegra 6700 componentry and "decent" mavic wheelsets for 2 Gs?

Sweet Ti Moto! For those without unlimited budgets, who know what they want and the proper size, BD is a great way to go. Ride the tires off that thing!

1994 Specialized Allez Pro, Full Shimano 600. Just got it, I like it so far but I'd like to have a more modern ALU frame, although this is a fairly light steel frame bike at just over 22lbs according to bikepedia.com
