Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Great waterfront to ride....went all along the lake, past soldier field and back...probably a 20 mile ride.... It seems like a great bike-commuting area too. I just dont know how many different areas you could get to...it seemed limited and my brother in law spent alot of time on the trainer..
well, i don't know exactly what you mean by "I just dont know how many different areas you could get to", but i bike ALL OVER the city and burbs. the only thing that would ever keep me cooped up inside on a trainer is crappy weather. maybe your brother in law is just intimidated by traffic?

I love orbea. getting an 07 onix here in a few days

Thanks. I snagged the NOS frame on ebay about a year ago. It was originally bought as a factory frameset. So it doesn't have all the superfluous printing on the seat and chain stays. Makes it a little more unique. Took it for a hilly 30 miler today. Can really feel the difference in weight between it and my Roubaix.

They don't seem to be too common around these parts, I actually only heard about them when this bike was brought to my attention. The Onix looks amazing though.

I'm a little nervous about all the attention my fancy little bike will draw, especially since I'm a complete newb. Ah well, only one solution to that problem...

yah i got my first bike (an orbea aqua t23) 2 months ago then the 20th of last month completely destroyed it in a wreck. I'm gonna baby this thing alot more lol. Only advice i'd give is to find a group of friends to ride with and really push yourself. the more you push the more fun it is

Kent GMC Denali. Finding parts, replacing with proper road hardware, and replacing with MTB hardware all have probabilities as 1/inf . But...$165, already own my own tools, and average 19.5 on bumpy road into a 13mph headwind day in day out--works for me!

Hey Guys,

I need some help. I just purchased this older Bianchi Veloce off of ebay and I am trying see how old it is (model/year). I ended up paying $510 for it. You think I got ripped off? The bike is in really good condition and almost all original. I'd also like see if I could get an old manual or exact measurements for it somewhere. Anyways, here are the pictures, let me know if you know anything about the age of the bike and/or if you know anyone who could help with this.

If you got it on Ebay,

You diden't get ripped off. You shafted yourself!

Research after you bought it!!!

It'll look bright up close, but difficult for cars to see it when it's not aimed correctly. It's amazing how much a difference even a slight angle makes with bicycle taillights.

However to not get all A&S on you and sound negative, I'm jealous how well the white seat/bartape goes with the otherwise mostly black bike.
