Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Well after completing my craigslist build up this past weekend, I passed the 100 mile mark on it tonight. Well worth the wait, time spent searching for the frameset and wheels, and the effort to save up some funds to finish up the build.

09 Cervelo R3 - 61cm
09 Zipp 404 with Mich Pro3s
10 SRAM Force groupset with Red shifters and Red rear deraileur
3T Team bars, Syntace F119 stem, Thompson Elite seatpost, Spec Romin SL saddle

Fabulous build! Something about the Zipp badges that don't quite go with the rest of the bike though.

Thanks! Yeah, I hear you on the grey color scheme of the old Zipp logo. Might have to drop another $20 for a set of 2010 Zipp stickers to sharpen the color scheme and balance the overall graphics.

Well at least for now, I am just gonna enjoy riding it for awhile. Its truly a night and day difference from my old Bititan Colnago.

It's actually not. I have a pretty short standover, and this is just the right fit for it.

Your seat looks a little off kilter.....sloping down a little...

I ran into Charley Phogg
He blacked my eye and he kicked my dog
My dog he turned to me and he said
Let's head back to Tennessee, Jed

I usually hate tires that are anything but black, but that looks really good.

SRAM shifters bend out like that, they aren't on backwards.

Here is a photo of my red shifter to compare it to.

Imagine how big your hands would have to be if they bent the other way while in the drops.
