What road bike do you have?

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I just noticed those are the same wheels that I have on the Roubaix. I de-stickered those zippy stripe things, the hub stickers and just left the shimano lettering. So much cleaner but what a PITA to get the sticky reside off.

Something about black bikes with white bar tape and white saddle, it looks nice.

My new precious....

2004 EV Boron ~

The lively ride that only great steel can provide! 2.8 lb state-of-the-art triple butted and foam reinforced EV Boron tubing. Frame tubes are pulse TIG welded then micro-fused to avoid excessive heating of the thin walls. CAD designed tube profiles add more stiffness and vertical resilience to an already excellent frame. Includes a Bianchi carbon fiber fork with 1 1/8" threadless steerer. Color is celeste with dark blue decals.

3 times stronger than aluminum
2 times stronger than titanium
25% stronger than the best non-Boron steel alloys

So says Bianchi... We'll just see about that.... Started building it up last night. Unfortunately, I don't have Campy bits so I'll be going with Dura Ace and Mavic wheels.

Nice! I'm planning on picking one of those up before next season... Jan/Feb probably.

It seems to me that Specialized bikes somehow always look worse on their website than they do in person or in other people's photographs, and this bike is no exception. Just curious, would you say the black is just black, or is it closer to the carbon color? Not sure if you looked at the 2011 Roubaix Elite in carbon, but that color is what I'm talking about.

Wilier Izoard

Just got my new bike. It will replace my 2006 Bianchi Via Nirone:

Wilier Izoard (2010), full Ultegra (compact crank), Fulcrum R3 wheels. It is abolutely amazing! I will replace the saddle with something more comfortable (and more black), and the bar tape as well...

And the (almost) completed build. Waiting on the black and Celeste bottle cages... Help me decide. With Brooks Ti Swift or The Fizik saddle.

With Brooks:
