Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Well done, looks great. What wheels are you considering? Maybe some black bartape, might improve it even more.

Thanks, yeah it would definitely be more sinister with black tape and no decals on the wheels. As for wheels hell I really don't know now, I'm trying to avoid wanting used zipps even though they're so much cheaper. I gravitate between williams 38s and maybe some reynolds assaults. I have found some good deals on unused wheels on slowtwitch though (EC90 TT's for less than $1k). Unsure at this point because I really shouldn't spend over a grand, if that. My wheels are 1650g and 26mm deep right now so lots of room for improvement - I'll definitely keep them for training on though since they're extremely sturdy. Any suggestions?

Find a trigeek, and buy a set of Zipps from them like I did. Trigeeks don't use their wheels, they simply own them.

Funny, just as you said that a tri geek listed his 808's on Boston CL. You paid 1200 for your 404s right? What could I get a rear 404 for? I could go the 343 route.

Yeah I got them for $1200. I would go the 606 route if it was me. The price really varies depending on the year. The ones I got were 2010's, I really can't complain about that kind of discount. Buy those 808's. and then sell the front, and buy a 404 front.

Man I wish, I've got some saving to do unless I wanna start sacrificing things like my guitar/amp or my Bianchi. Don't think I'd want to do that though.

Yeah I blew my Christmas bonus on my wheels. It was either that or another shotgun, I figured I'd get more enjoyment from the 404s.

Ha! I WISH I had a garage, then my bike wouldn't be in my living room. And I'm keeping the Stainless Steel bottle cages - never have liked carbon. I'm surprised you didn't notice the bike is sans-cassette. Semper Fi.

Abused, and dirty as hell. It was a mess out there today, but I haven't ridden outside since Jan 1. Long overdue, rode great with the new setup.

Vast improvement over my 2009 Specialized Allez Sport Compact. Absorbs road vibrations better and accelerates quicker.

That paint is hot. I'd have chose that for my 6.x if it would have been available.
