I got the frameset off of ebay a little while ago. My teammate has the exact same frame (didn't even know when I bought it) and told me that it's a 2007 model that has been discontinued. He got his from a friend who brought it back. Apparently, it retailed about 1300 euro in 2007. I got it for a steal at 300$.

Actually, they were the reason I got a new frame. The first day after I got them, the rear skewer failed during a sprinting practice and the resulting chaos bent up my chain and seat stays. I tried to contact Fuzion but the company apparently didn't exist anymore so I got a refund from my bank. Otherwise, the wheels themselves are rather solid, although I have to get them retrued for a second time.

Oh yeah, Razor's old bike looks really decent with full black 105.
I think it's mainly the shifter shape I don't like about 6700, awkward as a junior highschooler.
It's probably why pcad hates 7900 and he doesn't want to admit it.

For what it is worth, this is "WHY": I am a 68 year old retiree, I raced for several years and then quit and rode motorcycle observed trials with my sons for several years. A couple of years ago I started riding for fun and exercise on an old steel Bianchi. I really enjoyed riding again and started getting in pretty good shape, also lost 20 pounds. Started looking at new bikes, I did not like the big fat wide down tubes on the Trek Madone series. I found a new 2009 Trek TTX 9.5 that with the seat post reversed had the same geometry as the Bianchi. The LBS made me a decent swap and put road bars and Ultegra levers on it for me. I really liked the bike, it was faster than the Bianchi. I will ride anywhere from 20 to 60 miles on a given ride. I was in Oklahoma last fall to ride a metric century with my daughter when we noticed some cracks in the TTX fame. Long story short, Trek replaced my TTX frame set with the SC 9.9. It may look weird to you but at my age I do not care what people think. I love it, I like the way it looks and rides. For me it is perfect. I am no longer flexible enough to get into a really good aero position, thus the relaxed fit.

At 68, I'd expect you to be too. You claim to have been riding for more than twice as long as I've been alive, but I still have to judge. That bike is just such an abomination, I had to weigh in, I'm usually an overly positive guy when it comes to people's bikes and gear, just because they can't afford the nicest plaything doesn't mean that their bike isn't awesome to them...But you sir, you are a grown man, and at 68 years old I'd really expect you to have a bit more class, I ride with a guy who's 63, and not only does he keep up, but he rocks a really awesome calfee carbon that looks like a steel bike from a distance, he just looks natural on it, and its a really sweet bike, leaves me with my high-fallutin' Madone lusting. But that TTX is just ridiculous, and I don't know about you but tri bikes don't handle nearly as well as a proper road bike, do yourself (and cyclists everywhere) a favor and part out and sell your toolmobile and buy yourself a proper road bike. Just as an example, for that money you could have bought a beautiful colnago steel frame with SRAM Red on it, which would be just as fast for you, and infinitely more comfortable,better looking, classier, and better handling.

I agree about the 6700 hood shape, its got that chunky bulge which is a little weird, and I don't have small hands... I'm still playing with them to get the right positioning there, I really miss my old 7700 stuff, but the price was right and they do shift/break great.

Im still confused how a time trial frame is better then a road frame.....arent those bikes made to be uncomfortable and all? I call shenanigans or the LBS was pulling his leg b/c he isnt a young guy
