What road bike do you have?

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Here's my old ride, still going strong. A '98 Amp Research -- almost all of which is original.

And my just-purchased-today-bike. A Ridley Orion 2012 model. Cannot wait to get out on the road tomorrow. Woo. :-D

new Neuvation FC-500

This thing is a smooth riding beast. Full Monocoque carbon frame with electronic ultegra DI-2 package. It climbs like a goat and rides as smooth a silk on the road. I got this one with tubeless Intensive tires and run them about 85PSI. Bought it in August of 2012 and have about 1500 miles on her. I don't think I can ever go back to mechanical shifting.

Nice thing about the neuvation is that I got everything custom to how I wanted it , tires, crank set, stem length, seat, etc and still I only paid $3150. Not a "name" brand such as trek or giant or BMC, but it runs great and I saved at least $1500 over the name brands. Couldn't be happier with my purchase.

Thank You!! I appreciate that. Mileage on this bike so far is maybe 200 miles plus many trainer and roller miles. I did not get her all assembled until February and weather here has been pretty bad. So far all I can say is wow. The Di2 is flawless and the SL4 frame is more comfortable than the S-Works SL2 I came off of and it is every bit as stiff on the climbs......

built up a trek oclv frameset I picked up for $40 at a local thrift store with a dip in the partsbin.

Looked like this when I got it-

After a dip in the partsbin and a couple hours, I have this:

Maiden voyage tomorrow, should in the 50s. Very excited for a break in the weather.

I just moved to Brooklyn but don't have much riding experience yet so I'm hoping this throwback Bianchi Campione is a reasonable place to start. I love it regardless. Here are the specs if interested.

Thanks. The Ardennes are awesome. Nice and wide, makes a big difference on handling and ride using 23c GP4000s. However, they will soon be swapped out for some Reynolds Attacks. I'm hoping I won't miss the wide rim too much=\

This is just a personal thing but I would also take a spray can to the front fork, that bike would look good with a black fork.

Enjoy the ride.
That's not an actual kickstand it's just a bike stand. we are planning on making the fork black. As for the extension we added that to the bike because I have a bad back and can't bend over as much as I would like.

Just put this together over the weekend, the frame and fork are new to replace my (suspected) cracked Trek 1000. Haven't yet given it a full ride, still need to make derailleur adjustments and whatnot.

Last month, moved up from a 10 year old steel touring bike- to a ’13 Specialized Secteur Elite (upgraded wheels, tires and brake pads) over the weekend added a new seat post and saddle, dropping another 140 grams over the stock one in the photo. A major change from the 28 pounds, longer wheelbase of the old bike.
