Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

The environment/surroundings beg to differ. Ride the damn thing. I was riding at -7C the other day and I thought it was macho.

I love the 7900 C35s! however im a little bit disappointed with the 9000 series C35. they look more like deeper C24's than shallower C50's. anyhow weight is good at around 1500g

thanks for the like retrac1324!

41 etiquette question follows...

So....is posting pics both here and in the hot-r-not thread considered a faux pas? Just curious...

Nope. Post em whereever they fit

I got a CAAD8, it went in the Black Bike, Cult of CAAD, "show us your Cannondale" and this thread.

I haven't been in Hot or Not as its mostly stock still, and even though its super cool for a stock bike, it doesn't warrant a "Hot"

You can post your bike wherever it fits (I love to see bikes everywhere), just know that Hot or Not will be the most critical as it will get judged there.

Even if you don't care...I like your Pinny, and I'm neither a Pinarello fan nor someone who likes red colors on bicycles generally!

lol I did this when I first got my first road bike last year because I was so excited about it. Then I quickly found out that stock bikes don't really belong in Hot r Not haha.

Absolutely not. My bikes generally end up with their own build thread, then get posted in this thread and hot or not (if I think they are worthy).

I currently ride a 2002 Colnago Master X-Light with Campy Record 10 gruppo. It has been repainted, due to an accident and about six years off the bike (mental issues from the accident - I got hit by an SUV, and osteoarthritis in both knees). I got tired of sitting on the couch and watching everyone else on Oahu (Hawaii) have fun riding their bikes that I decided to have the bike repainted and get back on. I have had little to no knee pain and other than sucking at climbing, I'm having more fun riding, especially with other people, than I could have imagined. Without further ado, here is my bike, and the new Campy Scirocco 35 wheelset that I will shortly be putting on it

Picked this up in the last month, had been riding a 10 year old steel (28 pound) touring frame. Upgraded- wheels, tires, brake pads, seat-post and saddle.

Made a few minor changes, a few more to come as it will be getting a matching white Colnago stem and the steer tube cut down proper as soon as I'm sure on the fit...with Lightweight wheels.

Ah, before and after. Looks sharp with the black saddle and tape.
