Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Might be a weird question, but did you buy this from a guy in Oregon? This looks like a friend's build.

Just a funny coincidence, then. I had a friend who had the same frame, wheels, group, and stem. In any case, it's a great looking bike.

Nah - my requirement for wheels is that they be aero, not super-heavy, and bullet-proof. I think those have been trued twice in about 5,000 miles, and the second time was just because I'm picky

Cheers

My first road bike, a 2010 Jamis Ventura Race Femme! It may not be as fancy as the other ones people are showing off, but it's my first bike and I'm proud. I bought it used and it has higher quality components than I could have afforded if I had bought new. The bike only had 200 miles on it when I bought it. I'm racking them up for my first Ragbrai in July!

thanks! Im trying to save up money and convince my self that i should get a new groupset. right now i can justify getting A new groupset because it shifts fine and nothing is wrong. I just need new brakes, and to polish up the 105 cranks and i think it would be stellar as opposed to grouping 700-900 dollars on ultegra 6700 or sram red):

My first attempt at building a bike myself! Did a 40 mile ride yesterday and surprisingly things went well. I have a new seatpost and cassette on the way, then it will be complete.
