Ordered an Emonda SL6 this afternoon. I have to go out of town for work next week so I won't be able to pick it up until the following week. Ugh the wait! Road one and wanted it. Or the excuse, I got tired of swapping my tires back and forth on my 'cross bike. Pics to follow soon...

Just picked up my new bike. Cannondale Synapse 105. Going to pass my Trek 1.2 down to my daughter who is going to start riding with me. Heres a quick pic from my garage.

Ya, Ridley price is very competitive. Not sure if it would be better at your side.
Ridley is very uncommon in my country.

I can't wait for my Emonda to arrive. Funny story about Trek Haters. I can't say I ever hated Trek (except when they dropped the Lemond lineup) but never wanted one because everyone I knew or saw had a Trek because of Lance and blah blah blah. And I wanted to be different. BUT...having ridden many different brands of bikes I have no complaints about my Treks. Yes I said that plural. Ride what fits you and enjoy it!

Ciocc
I've only been road cycling since 2012, but I bought my first road bike (below) off of a friend a couple of years ago and have loved it!
It's a chromoly (sp?) Ciocc, not sure the year, with Campy Veloce components.
I'm a frequent lurker on the site, but an infrequent poster. You guys in the 41 crack me up.
Not a great picture, but wanted to share in the fun.

so which Emonda do you get? and which bikes do you own already?
I didn't know anything about this "hate" when I bought my bike ^^ but would have made no difference

My first post; really enjoy the forum!
Replaced my 8 year old Specialized Roubaix Elite with this new S-Works Roubaix SL4 just 10 weeks ago. Campagnolo Chorus 2015 groupset, Fulcrum Racing 5 Clincher wheelset, 3T Ergonova Pro Handlebar, Selle SMP Slider saddle.

My current stable includes: 2016 Trek Emonda SL 6 (it arrived today but I'm out of town until Tuesday), 2016 Trek Crockett 5 Disc, 2014 Trek Superfly FS9, and a custom Tiemeyer Track bike. I actually parted with a 2013 Madone 5.2 to pickup the Superfly. So yeah, I've been around the Trek block. Haha!!! The best part of this...my wife not only surprised me with the Tiemeyer frameset a few years back but she got tired of me swapping tires and saddle on my Crockett when she wanted to go riding that she pushed to get the Emonda. Uh...ok! What a wonderful woman!!!

Gonna get ultegra pedals soon. Any shoes recommendation?
And also once I have the money, I'm going to change the cranks to ultegra 50/34. Currently running 52-36 gosammer pro

Hopefully I can add a little to this. Regarding the pedals and cranks... Unless you're dead set on Ultegra check out the new 105 stuff. I ran the 105 carbon pedals for a while and they were great. Zero complaints. As for the cranks, the new 105 cranksets are nice. The new 105 (5800 11 speed) is probably the closest it's been to Ultegra (6800) and you can save a few bucks in the process. As for shoes, if this is your first pair of road shoes try on some at the LBS. PricePoint and Nashbar are having sales as well as some other sites. Just my $.02
