I thought it would look really good (Silver) with my new bike. Bought some. Wrapped, felt, took off, old tape back on. Actually, the Giant synthetic gel cork tape is my favorite tape I've ever used. Superior to Cinelli. Now I have a box of $20 worth of Fizik tape sitting on my shelf. Unused, but wrapped. Probably can't sell it for much.

The original cork tape on my 5200 was awesome. I kept reusing it for like 5000 miles or so. It was really thin. Thinnest I've ever seen. I've never found anything like it though. I don't think the Fizik will be too bad. I am going to try it out tomorrow on my Wednesday ride, if it isn't raining like it has been,

Updated pic with PowerTap wheels - Flashpoint FP40's on. Dirty as hell, had a race on Sunday with a gravel section, and I haven't gotten around to cleaning yet.

I sent them back to Fair Wheel Bikes in Arizona and they checked them out and rebuilt/replaced the wheel in a matter of a day or two. I'm happy with their customer service.
I built the wheels to be stiff, and the consequence of that is having a slightly out of true wheel. Not bad, but a little annoying to get used to.
Besides that the wheels are great. As I said I built them to be stiff and they perform great. I'm 5'9 160lbs and on a uphill sprint where I torque the bike as much as possible the wheels don't flex. As far as durability I can't say much about it as I only have under 500 miles on them. So far nothing's gone wrong. So if you want a stiff wheel these are the ones to get. On top of that they are aerodynamic.

Huh? Why does a stiff wheel have to be out of true********************????

Having molded spoke holes allows a high spoke tension. Having high spoke tension will create a very stiff wheel (some are saying a set of Edges can be built up to be more stiff than Lightweights).
The one trade off with having high spoke tension along with the fact that the carbon rim is not completely perfect creates a wheel that's not exactly true.
You could, instead create a wheel thats not as stiff, but be more true.

2009 Specialized Allez Sport Double Compact
Added a shorter stem, computer, and Specialized 700x25cc Armadillos All Purpose tires. Yes, it adds some weight, but I live in Idaho. With the stock Mondos, I had one flat on my maiden voyage, another flat two days later, and finally said the heck with it... the first day I road the bike with the Armadillos I inspected the tires, (of course). Butcher's Bill... one thorn in the back and FOUR in the front tire. Zero flats.

Shimano 105 shifter stop shifting, so replaced w/ '09 rival shifters and force RD
Shimano to Sram: Like previously mentioned, shimano felt a bit more smoother, but I love the hard "clunks" of Sram. At only about 100 miles I'm still at a toss up over which ergo's I like better
