    Walmart with Flair

    I just don't believe I saw this: http://www.walmart.com/catalog/produ...uct_id=5751048

Its not even a good deal for the price. Hell, bikes direct has a better spec'd one for lower cost.

Even if its not a terrible bike (unlikely) the idea of wal mart selling a full carbon bike is hilarious!!

Not bad components actually....I wonder if the frame is any good

"The Corsa FC carbon fiber road bike is built with a high quality Shimano Ultegra drivetrain and Shimano 105, ITM, Ritchey, and Sella Italia components. Carbon fiber absorbs road vibrations providing a smooth floating ride. At the same time, carbon fiber is a rigid material that maximizes the transfer of power from your pedaling to the wheels. This bike was assembled by the hands of skilled Italian mechanics to be tuned up and ready to ride right out of the box. We worked directly with the factory in Italy to offer you a premium ride at everyday low prices. Minimal assembly is required for this premium bicycle."

uh huh....i guess it is a step up from the GMC Denali and the grip shifters..

    Even more bizarre:

    http://www.walmart.com/catalog/produ...uct_id=5585799
700c Schwinn Varsity Carbon Fiber Road Bike
Even assembled wrong in the catalogue...
"handcrafted carbon fiber wrapped lightweight aluminum road frame"

Why anyone would buy this is beyond me.

This kind of makes me wish I hadn't sold my Denali after having it for only two weeks. This high end stuff that they are selling shows me how quality driven they are in regards to cycling. Next thing they'll be selling team kits! I had a slight feeling of depression earlier when I saw a guy in basketball shorts and a t-shirt cranking along on his Denali, dreadlocks flying in the wind/no helmet, against traffic. I wished for a minute I could be him then I realized maybe I should reevaluate my life.

Boy I feel silly for spending $2+ on a OCLV Trek. All I wanted was the carbon wrap, could have lived with aluminium underneath, the guys at our weekly Starbucks meet wouldn't have cared. Also I'm liking the stem set up - looks almost like a chopper.

Hi Botto! Welcome back! I see you've been paying attention. Yes, it's a Moots. It would have been nice to be able to get higher end components but I figured that I can upgrade later, that the frame was the most important.

erm it's "Selle Italia" ?? they can't even spell the components that they include on the bike. i would much less trust them to assemble it.
