Parts came from the US (frame, brakes, seatpost), Italy (brake handles, derailleurs, cassette, chain, saddle) Germany (wheels, handlebar, stem, crankarms, tubulars), France (pedals, chainrings) with some Swiss stuff (expanders, chainring bolts). So where was "the bike" made? My bike was build in the Netherlands. In my livingroom actually

Mine's made in France! (though the company is defunct... And oddly says 'Made in France' on the frame... in English...)
I believe that low end Time bikes (is that an oxymoron?) are made in Tunisia... (or was that Look?)
And isn't Orbea also owned by Trek?

If I remember correctly, Chevy hardly manufactures anything in the States anymore. Toyota produces more cars in the US than Chevy.
And hardly anything is built in the UK anymore... TVR gone... Rover gone... There's what, a few MG's and some final assembly of POS Peugeot 106es?? And London cabs?

Masil - frame designed and built in Portugal. Not sure if that is still true though.

My Klein, it's from Wisconsin- I think. My Surly the frame is from Chicago, I think. And my Fuji is from Taiwan, I know. Our BH is from Spain, I think. I understand no matter what price you pay, very few components are made in the USA. Part of my reason I bought my Klein. It's American and from Wisconsin. . Has a little US flag on the underside.
