Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Bedford, Pennsylvania.

And the only carbon bike that Cannondale outsources is the Synapse, as the Super Six is made in Bedford.

Cannondale will be introducing less expensive hardtail MTB's (in the mid $300-400 range) made outside the US. Their bikes, now, start in the mid-$500 range and they are missing market share. In order to compete with Trek and Giant, they have to send their manufacturing elsewhere. Something to think about.

His list doesn't mention Pinarello. Mine says fatta in Italia so I assume it's made there.

They only mentioned actual manufacturers not custom makers. Most people consider Calfee a custom maker not a full fledged factory like Trek or Giant. They do make a nice though.

My bikes are made in the US (CAAD8) and France (595). Actually I could care less where my bikes are made if I enjoy the ride.

what i would like to know, is, say you have a giant asian factory pumping out carbon frames 24 hours a day. how many of those exact frames get sold under different labels and who did the original R&D on them? would that be giant as well?

The workers - they get to ride your bike, as a perk of working in the factory

Mine's a freakish hybrid.

The monocoque front triangle is manufactured in Taiwan. Fork and stays are laid up in Italy. Assembly and finish work are all done at the Pinarello factory in Italy.

There are no "Made In," "Designed In," or "Built In" stickers anywhere on the frame.

And it's one bad-a$$ ride.

Depending on the model your LOOK was either made in Tunisia or France. Unless it's a 555 which is made in Taiwan. FWIW the Tunisia plant is run by French employees of LOOK. Of the big Euro manufactures LOOK is still one of the most European.
