Adidas Adistar Comp Road Shoe

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Adidas Adistar Comp Road Shoe

Anybody knows anything about this shoe? The Adidas Adistar Comp... Seems like a great shoe, plus I really like Adidas. If anybody knows anything about it please let me know. Cheers

I don't think these are part of the current Adidas model line-up, but they are still an excellent shoe, they have a carbon insert in the sole in the forefoot and arch area (not a thin full carbon sole like some of the later models). I think they also have a lacing system under the zip cover.

You are correct in every regard. Nashbar is currently selling them for $70.00, but I've seen them for as low as $50. They also come in Gold although that's way over the top for me.

I'm very happy with mine. They're still going strong in their second season. The lacing system is very quick and very comfy. They're nice and cool. They're nice and stiff. They're nice and cheap. And I like the classic and relatively understated look.

No complaints.

Erik Zabel uses those on the track. I would get a pair for under shoe covers because of the smooth surface.

Had these for half a year, I no longer use them. They vent very well though.

I had a pair for two years and they worked fine. The zipper on one blew out this year so I replaced them with Sidi's. No complaints for the price. The sizing runs pretty true, but a little narrow.

I've had mine since december, but I have a grey/black version with a yellow interior. They are fine shoes, a little on the narrow side, but all in all great for the price (I got them for $50 w/free shipping).

GL!

I've got narrow feet so that shouldn't be an issue...
