Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I'm usually on the Mtn. Bike forums, but I got bored and checked Wal-Mart's website for bikes and I found this: https://www.walmart.com/catalog/produ...uct_id=5751048

I would still never give Wal-Mart $1800 when I could support a non-chain business and buy from a LBS.

How refreshing that they didn't give it a ridiculous name like CRAPPOCCINI

Or hijack the name of some previously revered but now extinct brand.

"Assembled by the hands of skilled Italian mechanics to be tuned up and ready to ride right out of the box"

I wonder if the saddle is made with "Rich Corinthian leather"

when did China start importing Skilled Italian Mechanic in there Shenzen factories? I guess stretching the truth any more isn't considered false advert.

Come on, the Walton clan needs your money much more than your LBS owner.

I put this on BF last week after seeing it at walmart. Lot of same responses. Not a well spec'd bike for the money. OverPriced! bigtime!

WAAAYYYYY OVERPRICED!!!!

I could easily find a quality carbon frame, with all those components for about $1400.

And that's building it at home, which is usually the staple of costing more.
