Slippery when wet.
What would be some recommended wet weather road bike tires?
I currently ride Gatorskins but it just doesn't feel right.
What's grippy in the rain or wet weather?
Thanks.

1) There no aquaplaning with bicycle tyres at operating speeds.
2) Lower the pressure a tad on wet days.

I hate Bon Jovi.
I used an older set of of a version Kenda's Kriterium on my winter / rain bike a few years ago, I forget what the model was called then, but now it is the Kriterium. The tires are durable, lightweight, and I've ridden through some pretty heavy rains with them. They have siping (or grooves) on them to help disperse the water. But also abide by the adivce above, lower your pressure some on wet days.

I had no slipping issues with my ProRace2's... ridden in some pretty heavy rains without issue. As for siping on a road tire, can't imagine that it would do very much if anything at all. Not enough of a contact patch to make a bit of difference IMO.

You're slipping because you're on Gatorskins. My Krylions occasionally lose grip in the rain, but the PR2's never do, so i'm fairly convinced it's just the kind of tire people ride.

Pro2 Race's have worked for me so far in the rainy season. 3 more weeks to go of it!
