edge 305 won't power up
I just downloaded today's ride, and after disconnecting, my Edge 305, which was still mostly charged up, won't turn on. I've tried reconnecting to my computer, and tried charging it back up, and I still can't get it to power up. Any insight or suggestions about what is going on?

They told me it was a problem with the software (In the unit) and a new update would fix it. I did the update and it has never happened again...

I had the same problem, and was resigned to sending it back under warranty...but 30 seconds with tech support got me the same solution - it's worked like a champ ever since.....

This is one of the most common problems they have and the answer is posted on their web site.....
Question: My Edge 205/305 unit will not power on after being removed from the charging source. How can I get it to turn on?
Answer:
Your device may have temporarily locked up due to the lack of being charged. In order to "wake up" the unit, please follow these steps:
1. Connect the unit to the available power source (USB/110V).
2. Press reset and mode for 3 seconds and then release. Once you have done this please attempt to power the device on.
3. Allow the unit to charge briefly (15 to 30 minutes), and it should then be ready for use.
In addition, please make sure that the device has the latest software version available. To update the software, please use the following link:

Garmin has the best technical support offered of any electronics vendor I have seen.
I like their web site a great deal also (although not as much as I used to)
You should utilize these things!
