Need you're expert opinion on this
I'm on my way to Dallas, Texas for the next week and I found this at craigslist.

Is this a good price for this? I've really been lusting for a Ti and this looks like a good deal. But I wouldn't know better. Opinions please.

If it was a garage queen it's a good deal. The age concerns me. Inspect carefully, these frames are rumored to crack by some on these forums. The seller is not the original owner and the bike is probably not all original.

Looks nice, check on E-bay to see if the price is at market value. I would pay $800 for it without hesitation.

I'll wager scam. No contact info other than a very odd format email address. Most enthusist riders offer a reason why they are selling their once prized bike and mention first hand experiences on the bike.

Thanks for the responses especially about the cracks. The only thing that gets me is that the seller does not know what model it is. I hope its not hot. $1000 seems high to me though. Is it?

New carbon fork? Does that mean the old fork was crashed? And I hope the the new fork has an alloy steerer because the spacers exceed the maximum allowable for a carbon steerer. And per Rad/55, ask about the wheels, too.

an easy way to break it down is look at what a roughly 4 year old group minus brakes would cost, in this case I would say the DA group is maybe 200 complete the frame if in great condition maybe 500 + incidentals (cables, tuning) I wouldn't go higher than 800 either... OH...and the wheels, lets not assume thier DA Hubs...

My initial reaction is it's a little expensive ... the 800 comments sound good to me. But check completed listings on ebay to get a market value feel, remember to include shipping costs as that is part of what ebay'ers included in their total value.
