Umm,
what do you want it to do? I just got one for about $20 installed, but I only want the basics. You clearly want more, bur for $60 will have to chose which features are most important to you.

I got a Schwinn one for 25 at Dicks, I didn't see anything but Schwinn cycloputers. Is cadence done by another sensor by the crank somewhere?

I am debating the:
CatEye Comp Micro Wireless
and
Cateye Strada 8
There is a $20 dollar difference.
Is the Strada 8 cable running down the fork messy or clean?
Also, newbie question, what do you all mean by +1, +2, etc? Are they votes for?

I just bought a Sigma BC 1606L wireless- very nice. It's at your price point, or add the wireless cadence feature for a few dollars more. Best set of features, cleanest install of all the wireless units I saw in that price range. Pretty highly regarded, but not as popular as the Cateye models, like their double wireless model CD-300DW.
Personally, I think the cateye wireless sender units are ugly, and you can't mount the Cateye display head on the stem (only on the bars), AND it's $150. For that much, I'd get the Polar CS200cad.
Sigma wireless unit without cadence ($50): https://www.biketiresdirect.com/produ...il.asp?p=SMBCW
Sigma wireless unit with cadence ($65): https://www.biketiresdirect.com/produ...p?p=SMWLC&tn=0
Cheers!

wired, with cadence: Cateye Astrale 8
wireless, without cadence: Cateye Micro Wireless
i'm personally not a fan of the Sigma o-ring sensor mounts, otherwise i would recommend them, but you're welcome to try it out...

I've tried 2 different wireless, and sent them both back because they just did not work consistently.
One was a Cateye from a few years back, and the othe was a Vetta 110A just this year.

I have the wired and wireless Strada and like their "buttonless" design and stem mount option.
One ergonomic difference I notice between a stem vs a bar mount is that you have to look slightly farther down for the Strada's stem mount display.
I've also recently installed wired and wireless Blackburn Delphi computers, and they're nice if you're into big displays. I was in an echelon position while I was riding behind my wife, and I could clearly read the display on her computer (the Lasik 20/15 eyes may have helped a little with that).

Oh yeah, one thing if you decide to go with a Strada.. they are TINY! I was shocked how small it was when I got it in the mail. Really cool gadget though
