Road Bike Action had a little report on it. They said it was Cannondale's first all carbon bike. Wasn't the Synapse all carbon ?? (I'm not up on all the details of bikes since I emerged from my cave last year.)

if that is the case then i think c'dale should not have put it on their website yet! i was thinking of a system six to upgrade from my beloved six13 team but would definitley not buy one now that the super six has been announced.

My LBS has a 58cm in stock. First and only one I've ever seen in the flesh. y'know what *really* sucks about it?

I think the bike looks awesome. They forgo the stupid Compact Frame and continue with trad. geometry. PCAD - what is your complaint about it?

The System Six is flat ugly and the Super Six is so non-descript as to defy description.
My biggest complaint about the Super Six is I don't have one. I'm waiting for the Super Duper Seven with wireless Dura Ace 12 speed.
I'm very happy with the Six13. With those Zipps it is so much better than any racing bike I've ever ridden it's silly. Any new frame would offer incremental improvements at best. The Six13 is fine for another couple of years. Are you kidding? The Six13 ROCKS in every way. Every rider/racer I know who has one LOVES the friggin bikes. A CAAD 8/9 with CF has to be good.
Don't worry, if I'm still trying to race and ride with racing animals well into my 50's (I turn 50 in Novembe) I'll have a newer bike one of these days. But not yet... not yet.

Really?
1. We have two in the store..have had for nearly a month.
2. Liquigas was using them in April to win races. Both Nibali and Pellizotti won races on this frame several months ago.
...chuckling...
Check the Velonews of July 9 pages 83 and 84...
I've ridden it. I like the System Six better. FWIW...

DiLuca rode the SystemSIX not the SuperSIX but several of his team mates did ride the SuperSIX. They are both considered top bikes for Cannondale and the riders get their pick.

Contrary to what some posters are saying here (what a suprise!) the supersix's are out. They look amazing IMO, but then again I like subtle designs on black, red, or white bikes. The Supersix is actually marginally less stiff than the systemsix. It weighs less on the other hand. I think the supersix was cannondale's answer to criticism that they didn't have a full carbon race bike (the synapse carbon isn't a true race bike). There seems to be this stigma that the best bikes have to be full carbon. That being said only good can come out of this as the systemsix prices dropped a tiny bit I believe.

That is true...the scotts are lighter. But I will say that it is not hard to build up a systemsix under 15lbs. Maybe I am just different but I have yet to understand the ultra lightweight craze...most of the people I see come into the shop where I work will spend 5000$ for a sub 16lb bike when they could be better off losing the 20lbs of fried food remnants in their gut...just my opinion but if it were my money, the systemsix or new madone would be my ride of choice.

And I think the supersix was cannondale's answer to criticism that they didn't have a full carbon race bike that they could print "MADE IN USA" on the seatstays of. Whether or not the Synapse is a "true race bike" is more of a marketing issue than an applications issue.

But of course you're correct, no bicycle company could ever be than diabolically capitalistic.
What a country!

I've never tried one of their traditional models.
Thanks!
