My "new/old" Pinarello...tell me about it.
Hi, this is my firstish post! Great forum. I just got an older Pinarello Paris. I'm told it was from 2003. I don't know much about it, or how much it was worth new? Was it priced with the group, frame only? I have tried emailing the company for info on my bike...no response. I tried asking some dealers...no response. I will try to attach some pics. If anyone can hook me up with someone who could give some info or how I could contact someone about info it would really be cool. Thanks! dwight

I looks a bit older than 2003 to me.
And if has a threaded headset, then it might be quite a bit older, not that that matters

I don't think they made Paris's in 2003. I'd say it's probably more like a 1990's bike. No carbon forks or seat stay.

It looks a lot like this one, which is meant to be a 2001, but it has a carbon fork, so I'm guessing yours is a 2000. Not sure

here's another one which, according to Road Bike Review, is a 2000 https://www.roadbikereview.com/cat/20...8_1610crx.aspx
and another one

Hi, thanks for help. I bought this on Ebay and the guy is VERY cool about his Ebay stuff....That said, his ad said "03". Thus the reason I would like to confidantly know, because it was part of my investment/purchase, not really a big deal! I'm just anal.
The group is Dura Ace.
The red bike pic is the SAME as mine. It does have a carbon fork, labeled the same as the red one 531 sent. By the way was there any info attached to that pic?
Man, I sure do thank you all for the help!

the seller of this one claims it's a 2002, but it looks like a steel fork.
I'm not even sure if this is a Paris, even though it says so on the ad

That is what is kinda wierd. I guess I would like to find a Pinarello dealer who could really nail it down. Ebay dudes ad read:
XLT PRISTINE 03 56CM PINARELLO PARIS ROAD BIKE DURA ACE
CARBON FORK MAVIC OPEN PRO WHEELS SHIMANO DURA ACE 9
Any ideas on dealers?
Thanks again! GREAT FORUM!

I guess it could be correct, I'll keep trying to find the answer. You think 1200.00 is to high? It IS perfect condition.

I'd say your Paris is between 99-02. If it's in good condition and includes all the kit $1200 sounds reasonable (at least to me). You'll enjoy riding it.

I'd be a little surprised to see an '02 high end bike with threaded headset and quill stem. Nothing wrong with either but the switch to threadless was pretty close to universal by '02.
I can understand being anal about details (I'm still trying to nail down the exact lineage of a Colnago Master I don't even ride anymore now that the wife has taken it), but I agree with others about the quality and price both being winners. IMO at least you did pretty good.

I can't believe I can not find any catalogs referencing this bike. Emailed Pinarello twice. No response.
Thanks Walter!

What's the serial number? Perhaps it could provide a clue. Also, perhap Gitabike (www.gitabike.com) the US Pinarello distributor can provide some help.

Should be on the bottom of the bottom bracket shell (under the crank spindle).
