Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I was hoping to see the cassette. I thought I saw the guys show it on Versus and it was one piece.

I guess I wasn't confused after all. https://www.rouesartisanales.com/article-6901359.html

I'm in to it. It's probably $50 cheaper than record.

One piece of machined steel. The $ comes from the fabrication, not the material.

Is it just me, or are there about 4 teeth missing from the smallest cog on that cassette?

I thought they were only supposed to be one short on each cog.

Once again, you force me to make yet another pilgrimage to the Our Lady of Dura Achee Chapel in Madone, Italy to light candles and pray for your immortal souls. Sram on your bicycles instead of Dura Ace? How about strippers in the Sistine Chapel? You pathetic, gear-obssessed, misguided, twisted, OCP friggin WEENIES.

Wouldn't it have been cool to have it red anodised? Doesn't work with steel, of course, but all the alu and ti bits...

8 Gears = the first and last are separate pieces.

Red = stinkypants.

What's the mechanical advantage of a one-piece cassette? That's a project to make a machinist go home and emo cut himself, hope there's a good reason for it.
