Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

They are ok. They seem to fit longer, thinner feet better than wide feet.

I have a set and agree they fit narrower feet real well. Fortunately, thats what I have. Been riding them for 4 years and they've held up well.

I have some (well the Cannondale rebadged ones that still say Diadora) and love 'em, both road and MTB shoes. I got them while they were cheap over on nashbar.

I wear 10D's , a common size, but I have a very high instep. Sidi straps don't reach the buckle to give you an idea, but I wear Diadora road and mtb shoes. I've probaby ridden 20,000 miles in the road shoes and can't complain. The toe box on new models doesn't seem as generous, so I'm shopping for something else I can wear.

I have a pair and just went to see what the model was, but the tag printing has long since worn off. They're 10-ish years old mountain shoes that, while beat up and otherwise a bit shabby looking, are about ready to be replaced. When I bought them they were what I could afford so the sole is a bit flexy after 10 years. Since I switched to Crank Bros. Smarty pedals with a wider platform than what I was using, the flex isn't really noticeable. I doubt it would be a problem at all with a road pedal. I'll likely buy a new pair of shoes next year and they'll definitely be Diadora's.

I have a pair, and I don't care for them, although I should say they're pretty low end, having cost me I think about $60 earlier this year. Can't say I agree that they fit narrow feet well; I have narrow feet and have to yank the velcro straps as far as they'll go, so far that they stick way off to the side, and at that they're still not snug.

I have the ergo carbons. They're great while I'm riding comfortable enough and stiff. But I have wider feet so standing around in them is a cause of discomfort. I only have 800 or so on them, but I will say that they have been more comfortable over the last couple hundred miles. so maybe they'll be better once they are more broken in. On the otherhand, my old $50 generic performance/nashbar/pricepoint shoes were comfortable from the beginning

Longer as in they run bigger than the stated size? Not all narrow feet are long. 9c with narrow heel here.

I bought a pair of Diadora Gekos this past winter. Less than 1,000 miles on them, and I think they're a fine entry level shoe. Nylon soles are somewhat stiff, but I do get the occasional hot spot and a bit of flex when I'm charging a hill at full tilt. Like I said, good entry level shoe, but I do believe my next pair will have a carbon fiber sole...Diadora or some other brand.

My feet are wide too, but my Diadoras are great. Probably like most shoes - they vary by small amounts in various dimensions.

But wait! Horrors, I have their MTB shoes! They look like their road shoes except for the bottom 1/2 inch. What will I do? What will I do?

How does the brand rank? I haven't heard of them before. Are they like Wal-Mart specials or are they up there with Sidis?

I have Diadoras and they are the only shoes I've owned. While I was shoe shopping I tried on Sidis that felt really comfortable but were kinda narrow so I went with Diadoras that fit better. They've since stretched and might be a little too wide now. But overall I like them, I put them on and never think about em, they just work and give me no problems.

Would I buy them again? I'll probably gets Sidis. But I still like the Diadoras and have no complaints.

Take a look at the picture I posted and rethink your question. It helps to read the entire thread.

Also, they make some of the best soccer shoes around.

I really think Diadora is the best shoe company that nobody knows about.

My first pair of road shoes were Diadora's...they're getting a little worn now after 4 years but still work fine. I mostly use a pair of Sidi's set up for the Look Keo's I run on my road bike. I do have a Sirrus with SPD's and still use the Diadoras when I pull that bike out for a spin.

Overall they've been fine...
