Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Taking the dog

27 seconds of footage of taking the dog out on a cruise in the neighborhood:

https://gallery.mac.com/thomas.barry#100000

She can't ride in the car for more than 20 minutes without throwing up, but she seems to enjoy being on the bike. It must be the titanium...

I'd love to do that, and my dog would probably be into it. Trouble is, she's a 50+ pound lab!

I've thought of it before but my dog is 30 lbs.

I really wish I could take her mountain biking, but the trails don't allow dogs (though I've seen people do it all the time). At least my girlfriend takes her running in the off-season.

Yeah, she'd probably be a bit heavy. :-) But what a sweet looking dog you've got!

Awesome. The dog really seems right at home. I wonder if your dog is claustaphobic, and hence, gets sick in the car?

That's a real possibility. She really freaks out if the car starts to get the least bit warm inside- I wonder if her previous owner (we rescued her in Hawaii) ever left her in a hot car...
