Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Which size?

Hello everyone. I'm a mountain biker that is in the market for a road bike. I'm interested in the bike below.

https://www.ibexbikes.com/Bikes/CLS-3300-Details.html

The one thing keeping me from placing the order is that I'm not quite sure which size to choose. I've used the competitive cyclist fitting calculator as pictured:

Here is the geometry chart for the road bike.

I have an Ibex mountain bike that fits great. Here is the chart for that bike to use as a cross reference:

Please give any insight to help get me in the ballpark. Thanks in advance for your help.

With your measurements, I'd probably get the 54 eventhough the top tube length of the 51 is closer to what the fit calculator recommends. With your inseam, you'd have to jack the seat of the 51 up very high which would increase the seat to bar drop in comparison with the 54 and nullify much of that 1.5 cm shorter top tube difference. The extension of stem in the photo looks fairly short which for you is likely a good thing, but you might want to call Ibex to find out what the measurement of the stem actually is and if it varies depending on the size of the bike.
