Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

So you don't know me at all. You know nothing about me but you don't respect me because of the coffee I drink? Are you really that shallow or just a total idiot?
Oh yea, I also bought some stuff from Walmart today. Is that a problem for you as well?

I've never had a problem with Starbucks coffee. Had a friend who worked there, got a pound of coffee a week. Since he didn't drink a pound a week, every other, I got me a pound. If you brew it right, it's great. If you brew truck stop coffee right, it's better than normal. If you shoot hot water through coffee grounds in three minutes, it's going to taste like poop.

He should be riding in the street though, sans coffee. OP, eloquent post!

Espresso -- double shot. I hate mixed drinks from SB but their espresso from some Ethiopian blend is not bad. What's this talk of bitter. HTFU I say. We have an Illy at home and if you know your espresso, you damn well should know Illy. IMO the Record of Espresso makers

I've been very happy with mine, even if the top sometimes does get gunked up on rainy/snowy rides as it sits on the downtube, not the bars like the MR.

I think the best thing I've seen is a guy sparking up a Marlboro light at the traffic lights, then smoking it as he rides for the next couple of minutes. Kinda like having chocolate cake with a diet coke, they cancel each other out.

Still, if I could suck in a Beanscene espresso half way through my commute, I think I'd pull over and give it a 'shot'.

Wish we had a local coffee shop worth supporting, sad to say. Our $bucks is the best shop in town.

That's how it is here. I've rode my bike to Starbucks a few times, but never in a full kit. We are getting another privately owned coffee shop soon. My friend is opening it, and it's closer to home. Yay.

Good lord, Chipotle is LIGHT YEARS better than the sorry excuse for "tex-mex" we have here!!! ("Maui Taco" - the seventh level of hell. Puke'n'slop in a paper basket. Makes Taco Bell look like award winning cuisine.) This is Hawai'i, the home of bad food - it amazes me the garbage people eat here.

The bike shops aren't too good, either. One is OK, but too small to have any selection. The other two aren't worth a fart.

It's not bitter. It's rancid and smoky because they pull their shots too long and scorch it. Their milk drinks are overdone every which way. A 12 ounce cappuccino minimum is an absurdity.

And yes, Peet's makes killer drinks/roasts. Lance was right about that AND Shimano. So there's two things he has going for him.

I see cyclists at my local FourBucks all the time. There is a FourBucks right across the street from the Hippodrome Theater in downtown Gainesville. The local Tuesday/Thursday hammerhead ride departs from the Hipp at 6:00. Many of the participants enjoy the outdoor seating at the FourBucks. I don't think that I have ever seen them drinking the coffee, though.

As for me I love good coffee, especially a double shot of expresso. That is why I have a very nice Saeco machine. I recently replaced my old one that finally died after 9 years of hard usage. My expresso is way better than any FourBucks expresso I have ever had to endure. I guess FourBucks is OK for airport coffee.
