Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Any psychological profilers here?

I'm trying to understand the mentality of drivers who try to get as close to they can without hitting you, or come up behind you and honk their horn when you're well off the road.

They don't like you. This never happens to me, so I can only assume its something about you.

I'm no pro but may be the same as the chick I saw the other day. She was flying around a turn at about 40 in a 20 mile turn. I heard her tires screech as she turned thru the narrow college town streets. As she drove by me, I noticed she was dressed in a cycling outfit with a bikerack on her trunk. I'm really shocked she wasn't talking on the cell!

It used to happen to me. Then I started wearing my Team Smith & Wesson jersey and it stopped.

As children, many were abusers of animals.
