Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I'm Done With Steel...

6 is enough. At least until I get a custom.

Yes, I bought another frame today. One I had lusted after for a long time. And I paid a hefty price for it. But, it will be the "piece d'resistance".

Kudos to those who can guess what it is...here's some hints....it's from the 80's and it's coming from Italy. And, I've mentioned wanting it in several threads over the years.

Enjoy your weekend everybody.

And check out my new avatar.

I'm sure, and the next thing you'll tell us no more toe clips or downtube shifters either. Try to decompress a bit before you slam into the 21st Century dude.

Once you've adjusted, contact me about this new 'I Pod' thing I want to tell you about.

Rad, can't wait to see the new steed when you finish with it. That is if you ever do- I suggest either leaving it in it's original colors, or polished bare metal (hint).

I must admit that I wish that I had enough space for so many in my garage. That and a spouse that had a sense of the "big picture" and would permit it.......

Yes, this will get done in a timely manner - much like the other 4 I've done this year. And yes, I do ride them. After 6 months off the bike, I've averaged 800 miles per month for the last 3. And while I do like my downtube shifters, I don't have toe clips on any of them. And as for who cares? Well, don't read or chime in.

One of you did guess correct....a Tommasini.

Now, which one?
