Would you please pick up your crap
Is it so hard to put your empty gel packs in your pocket? You are going to wash the jersey after the ride (at least I hope you are) so a little gel won't hurt your precious jersey. I am tired of picking up your garbage off the road and it certainly doesn't promote good relations with home owners and cagers. I know two of my favorite organized events may get shut down because of you lazy slobs.
Today's ride was the worst in a while. I was on a stretch of road frequented by the Chicago Tri Club on a popular loop. I mention their name because I am nearly certain they are the culprits. In addition to the usual gel packs I found a flat tube on the side of the road. Now, if you carried a spare tube to change your flat, why wouldn't you take your garbage with you? Even my 5-year-old knows better.

Ironically - yesterday I had a punctured/torn sidewall flat, and as I was changing I was thinking - this is just going to blow again when the tube pops out of this hole at pressure.
So I looked around this side of this middle-of-nowhere road, and right next to me was a gel packet wrapper that someone had thrown down.
Perfect get-me-home tire patch!
So I had a 2-for-1. Pick up trash, use it as function, dispose when I got home.
