Jacket Recomendation

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Jacket Recomendation

Could someone recommend a good Jacket or clothing layers for riding in 45-55 degree weather on clear days. something to keep the cold and wind from getting to me. I'm looking for less then $100. I'm only concerned about upper body, I have a good set of LG long bibs.

Dunno if you want to combine a rain jacket function with a windbreaker, but I absolutely adore my Showers Pass Elite 2.0:

Works great as a cool/dry weather jacket as well as a rain jacket.

Go to Campmor.com and get the Sugoi Invertor Jacket. Its only $55. I LOVE mine. Its already gotten into the 30's a few mornings around here and it is has been perfect for morning rides or my 30-minute commute in to work. I'm guessing I'll be able to wear this down to the single digits with the right gear on underneath.

I just got one of these and really liked it. Free shipping for a few days, too.

I really like my Pearl Izumi Vagabond.

Its got zip off sleeves and is retina burning yellow. Not the best in the rain, but I use it as an outer shell into the 20's. Layering underneath is very important with it, but I didn't want to spend that much on a portable solar still. In the morning its a full jacket and in the afternoon you can use just the vest. Overheated, zip open the arms...

The pockets inside will stash the sleeves, and a spare change of gloves... keys, cellphone... and candybar.

Best part... it doesnt flap!

Thansk for recommendations. The campor one was nice, but were out of my size. I ended up checking out nashbar and came across the DeMachi Lite was 50% off to be $69, plus I picked up a few other things to get my order over $100 and then use the aditional 20% discount, seems like a good deal. https://www.nashbar.com/profile.cfm?sku=21950.

Thanks again.
