Need help Identifying ZIPPs

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Need help Identifying ZIPPs

Hi,

I picked these up on craigslist. I was going to use them myself, but when I got there I found they were 650s, but the price was nice, so I decided to still buy them and put them on ebay for a profit (hopefully). So that I can properly identify them on my listing, can someone please let me know what year these are, and what the correct model name is for the disc. Also, hopefully someone can let me know what I can expect to get for them. I am going to take the cassette off and keep it for myself. The tires will be included in the auction. They are Tufo S3 (rear) and S33 (front). These are tubulars.

Thanks in advance and please ask any questions that are necessary to help estimate price or identify them. I'm not going to include all the pics, but cosmetically, they are pretty damn perfect.

The disc is part of the 909 set. So, a 909 disc.

Take the cassette off and give a good description of hubs, etc...Someone with more experience with zipps will easily ID year for you (at least include campy or shimano).

The S33 isn't a selling point, imho, for a TT tubular set up. I bought one thinking one tubular tire was just like the next. Wrong! Just a fyi. Not bashing you...

Thanks for the reply. It is shimano. Do you mean that I would be better off selling it without tires on it?

_EDIT_

Is it a 404 front? It's hard to tell being 650's how deep the wheel is. If it's a 404 front, he is right, it's a 909 set. Judging by the sticker it's a few years old, which would mean Shimano only.

650 has pretty much fallen out of favor, so I'd guess maybe $700 or so at the most on a good day, if you find the right buyer. But that's strictly a guess. You never know with ebay.

The front wheel also says 909, so it's a 404 front...

No. I think it adds more value to sell with the tires. Many are afraid to glue and the hastle of finding a tire. Everyone wants to unpack and go ride straight away. Keep it on. Fwiw, I like the S3, just my opinion on the S33 and my comment wasn't relevant.

Another thing to consider is if you would get more from the set or run two auctions, one for the front and one for the disc?

Yeah, I was thinking of doing two separate auctions. I'll probably put something in about "If you purchase both I will combine to ship. Something like that.
