Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Isn't that about what you would pay for a real "Brand New" from a shop, that would come with tune ups and warrenties and some place to go with questions and fit help and everything else? Now, if it were a real bargain, yes go for it, but what are you saving by buying used here?

At my LBS they seem to have discounts of $100 maximum on '07 models even at this time of year.

Hmm, you're probably right though; I shouldn't settle for this when I'm spending this much money. Thanks.

Wow, didn't realize they wanted 1500 retail for a 105 equipped aluminum bike, so 1400 at the LBS. My wife and I had been looking at the Trek 1600WSD for her, 105 equipped aluminum, for around a 1k and figured that is was in the same league.

Yeah, that is a good deal, if it fits.
