Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Need Help with building up an old Rossin frame

Hi,

I recently got hold of this frame:

Which I believe is a repainted Rossin from the 80's. I don't have much experience of building up vintage geared bikes and was wondering if anyone could recommend the right sort of gears to go with it. I'm particularly confused by the front mech braze on which I haven't seen before.

Would this have used Campag bits?

Ideally I'd like to have modern indexed gears, hoping that this won't offend too many purists.

Thanks

Tom
