So I had a little slice in my new Krylion Carbon...TIP
So I'm loving these tires..smooth and seemingly tough...so after about 400 miles on them, I notice a slice in the right front sidewall, that kind of wrapped upwards onto the contact surface a bit..fairly long and it was opened like a good paper cut.
Remembering the super glue tips, and shoo goo..I searched and didn't have either..so I grab a tube of this Lexel Super-Elastic Sealant that I had kicking around the basement. I ran a bead of it along the slice, worked it in with a finger, and then one more application, and after letting it set for a few hours, this stuff worked great! Actually seemed to pull the edges of the sliced rubber together, and filled in smoothly.
The tube says it sticks to wet surfaces, sticks to about anything, flexible and scrubbable. So anyway, I wanted to pass along this tip as this stuff seems like it really did the trick! We'll see how it lasts, but after pumping up to 115, and ridinig a fast 20 miler last night, it's looking great. It's made by Sashco Sealants, Inc. Don't remember why I bought it in the first place, but I know why I need it now!

As a precautionary measure you may just want to move that tire to the back. Just incase it does blow out it is much easier to control on the rear.

Thanks
Thanks..that's a good tip that I hadn't considered. The slice wasn't deep enough to get to the tube level, but I know how these things can develop!
