Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Leader frames

I am looking to build a "rain" bike. I currently ride an Orbea Onix, but the rain has arrived here in Portland. I have a full set of components from a bike I drove into my garage with while it was on the rack of my car, not a good day.

I was wondering if any of you had experience with Leader frames? The price is right.

I seem to recall the paint chips off easily from prior threads. Try doing a search on here, should reveal all.

I have a Leader 735 frame. I built it up to be my climbing bike but have since changed it to be my rain bike...

My 735 frame seems to be similar to the current 717 frame...

I have had no problems with the frame (no paint chipping) and it was very inexpensive...

Thanks for the responses. How heavy are the frames? They don't list any weight info on their site.
