Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Which one, the 950 gram TK9827MQ?

Where would you purchase it from, and for how much?

Ebay seller has it for $999.

https://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=260167953239

That frame must be available elsewhere under a different brand.

Here's some feedback, even though I've never ridden it:
-I think it looks good, and the huge-weave (12k?) is quite the mode right now.
-Token products, generally, are great quality but not 'brand name' enough to be lauded or appreciated for their value.
-I would prefer the brand to add an L and an I to their name, as in "Tolkien" - this would make for a far more 'powerful' connotation than the 'token', which often connotes something that is a temporary replacement for the real thing - which Token products certainly are not, they're quite good!

Haha, thanks. I assume that Token just has some company in Taiwan make these and they just slap their logo on it. I wonder if they do any kind of R&D on these frames.

Ah, I've never ridden it but judging by the CF fabric layout and geometry, it's really laterally stiff yet vertically compliant.

My impression is that Token is that company (the one that makes stuff), and they set some of the stuff they make for others aside and call it Token, in the hopes of someday being a name brand (how FSA got started) They sell an amazing variety of stuff, frames, wheels, handlebars, cranks.

Sure is. A friend of mine's branding the same frame(s) here in Norway.

I fully agree with you here. Token seem to be at the forefront of component design and production. It would be interesting to know how many companies rebrand their products. I so far know of one:

Where can you get these frames (besides that one ebay seller). What about these genius bikes?

Here's a pic of Bikebrothers 'BROS' Carbon

Trust me. They do not buy'em from Token, and it's also my
understanding that Token does not make anything themselves,
but there again. Who does...... It's a very nice frame though.

As for the other Token stuff, a lot of it is Gigantex. (Not the frames)

A little trip to their website revealed who makes the Winwood bars I'm eyeballing that look exactly like the Token jobs.

I recently purchased a Corsa frame as a budget replacement for a cracked frame. I am quite pleased with it, despite not being a fan of the paint or 12k weave (hey, at least it doesn't have colnago graphics). Nice value for a 1kg frame.
