Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Lemond Le Vanquer---anyone heard of it?

I'm very confused about my bike

I see all sorts of different Lemond models, but I can't find any others with this model name. Internet searches arn't giving me any information on the model. There are two world champion dates and one tour date showing Greg's wins-the tour win date is 1986 on the sticker. Campy components-mostly chorus

I'm looking for information regarding this bike, and the price range on it now.

Since nobody has mentioned it ---- the Classic & Vintage subforum might have the answers you're looking for.

Good luck.

Since no one else seems to have an answer, I went searching thru back issues of buyers guides.
This may be a 1990 model. It seems to have originally come with Athena components and down
tube shifters. In this configuration the retail price was $1600 in 1990 dollars. Someone must have
upgraded the components to Chorus shifters and brakes. Also the bike has TWO tour wins noted.
It says 1989 in the map of France, so the earliest production model year is most likely 1990.
