Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Should I get disc brakes on my Bike ???

Please Delete this thread coz i posted it in the wrong section .. Thanks a Ton

After a few weeks of using my bike and looking at the rigs of different people, I am thinking of getting disc brakes on my bike. Apart of looking cool, is it really worth getting disc brakes on my bike ?? or should i just stick to my Alloy V-Type Brakes. Just a quick question. how much better are the disc brakes compared to normal brakes.

Pic of my bike

TIA
ANP !!!

I'm guessing this is in the wrong section. Road bikes normally have neither V brakes nor disc brakes so most roadies that don't ride MTN or 'cross won't be able to help. I don't see a picture so I can't help you ID where you probably should seek help.

My DNS provider was blocking the pic from that website. It's a HT mountain bike.

Extremely Sorry if I posted this in the wrong section, I am new over here, so I am not quite familiar with the forum layout.

Then the MTB folks would probably have better answers about the change. Not trying to be unfriendly but trying to point the OP in the right direction for help.
