Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Spinning songs part deux ... the payback!

A hardy thank you is in order for all of you who contributed song titles to my little spinning music project in this post;

link to previous thread

Because you were so generous, I'm offering up a couple of things. First, I have two PPT slides with heart rate profiles matched to music, positions on the bike, etc. So, basically two hour long, tough rides. They look like this;

That file is around 10Mb.

The second, and most important piece I'm offering is the music. I've created two hour long mp3's that match the PPT files perfectly. Here are the songs listings for each workout;

----------------------------------------------

Ride #1: Intervals – song list

Warm up:
1. The Orb - Little Fluffy Clouds

2. Radiohead – 15 steps
3. Jimmy Hendrix – Voodoo Child
4. Thievery Corporation - Serve Chilled
5. Incubus - Dig
6. Thievery Corporation - Shaolin Satel
7. Incubus-Anna Molly
8. Thievery Corporation - Weightless
9. Paul Oakenfold - Ready Steady Go
10. Theivery Corporation - Baaba Maal (#1)
11. Beck - E-Pro
12. Theivery Corporation - Baaba Maal (#2)
13. Black Eyed Peas - Dont Lie
14. Chemical Brothers - The Boxer
15. Silversun Pickups - Well Thought Out Twinkles

Cool Down:
14. Stevie Ray Vaughn – Little Wing

---------------------------------------------------

Ride #2: Bump the threshold – song list

Warm up:
1. Dzihan & Kamien - Streets Of Istanbul

2. Fedde le Grand – Jackpot
3. Arctic Monkeys - I Bet That You Look Good On The Dancefloor
4. Federico Aubele - Esta Noche
5. Block Party – Helicopter
6. New Order – Jetstream
7. Ok Go - Do What You Want
8. Thievery Corporation - It Takes A Thief
9. Daft Punk- One More Time
10. Thievery Corporation - Lebanese Blonde
11. Fedde Le Grand - Put Your Hands Up for Detroit
12. Underworld – Crocodile
13. The New Radicals - You Only Get What You Give

Cool Down:
14. Moby – Porcelain
15. Psapp - Rear Moth

--------------------------------------------------------

Each of these mp3's are around 60Mb.

Where are the files you might ask? Well, herein lies the rub. I could post the links, but I have a feeling that I'll exceed my bandwidth for my hosted account in short order. So, drop me a PM and I'll set you up. Preference goes to those who posted in the original thread.

Repeating the same artist in a playlist is a big no no.

It's half the song for the first part and the second half for the second. It's recovery music on the downside of an interval ... no lyrics. Should be passable.

I thought maybe your lists would include "The Big Payback" by James Brown. It contains one of the best lines in all of recorded music.

I'm a bit late to the party as I missed the first thread but thought I might add something to the post.

Check out the mixes by DJ Steve Boy. NOT exactly what was asked for but worth the look anyway.
