I remember when Cervelo made this bike, specifically for the Paris-Roubaix race. I wish they would bring back a steel bike, as it was nice to see a Company so committed to advanced engineered bikes get back to the basics.

Visibility, originality, theft proofing - Why not?
I missed out on a vintage carnation pink Calborn this spring on eBay - hence the idea was born.
I think the custom Marinoni is one of the better value picks for a road bike out there. Plus its made in North America.

I guess I'll play also. My current steel bike in a 1999 Schwinn Circuit. Picked it up a few weeks ago to back up my currently broken Trek Mondane 4.5. For whatever reason my cycling took a big leap in performance the day I started using the Schwinn. Stock when I got it to include the 11 year old Schwinn Natural 66 tires. Coming down the mountain the other day at close to 40 miles an hour made me realize that I was stupid to be running those old tires. So today I put on a new pair of Conti Grand Prix 4000s and man the ride was great. A new PR for this route despite having to deal with gusting headwinds for about 20 minutes of the ride. Oh yeah, I've also set aside the stock seatpost and saddle in favor of my Brooks B17.

Nice. Now all it needs it a raked fork...

Gitane Tour De France 1973 Reynolds 531 awww yeah.
and
Bianchi with Ishiwata tubing (don't know the model) mid 1980s with SRAM rival "modernized"
Both bikes are powered by Vittoria and Gomitallia tubular wheels. Gitane is on the trainer now because it has 52/42 chain rings and I need to get that F&*&*('ing stem out. If anyone knows a frame builder near Ottawa, please let me know. I'm going to use a threadless headset to replace the worn strong light after this escapade.

Mockba 80 is a reference to the 1980 summer olympic games held in Moscow, USSR, which the U.S. boycotted due to the Afganistan invation. In Cyrillic text, MOCKBA is MOSKVA, or Moscow... PG

Here's a new edition to my steel family, a 2000 LeMond Zurich. Still sorting it out but it rides real nice and seems to have a lot of potential.
Of course to get the LeMond I had to sell this piece of steel Americana, a 1985 Raleigh Team USA:
I've still got a huge twin to this bike hanging out in the garage. Trying to sell it locally or it's going to go on the trainer for the winter. Of course I'll need a ladder to get on it but....
