Cervelo Team Soloist vs. Caad 9
I have a Caad9 and am looking at the Cervelo Team soloist.
Having not ridden the Soloist,
I'd like to hear some opinions and comparisons of the two.
IYO, do you think one rides "nicer" than the other?

The Soloist is made in China or Taiwan, whereas the CAAD is made in the USA, if it matter to you. Around 8 months ago, when I bought my CAAD9, this made a difference to me. Also, the Cannondale is a better value in terms of components. Cervelo is hinging on their name to sell an Aluminum bike at $2400 CAD MSRP.

I had a CAAD 7 and now have the Soloist. Both great bikes. Can't comment on the CAAD 9, but can't imagine it too be too different CAAD 7. Both the Cervelo and Cannondale are amazingly stiff and great race bikes.
I prefer my soloist for longer rides, just seemed to be more comfortable (could be a matter of fit on that point). Another nod to the soloists in the hills and in handling. Both are great in the sprints.
Quality on both is top notch. Cannondale has nicer looking welds if that matters to you.
Yes, the Soloist does rattle a bit due to the internal cables, but it usually has to be a pretty rough road and even then it isn't bad.
I would have to disagree on with the above post about price. Almost every review I have read said $ for $ the Soloist is the best value for money in an aluminum race bike. Here is what Bicycling said about it. https://www.bicycling.com/article/1,6...6193-1,00.html Granted, Bicycling isn't the greatest mag in the world, but their review can't be far off the mark.

Really? I own a CAAD9 and generally support Cannondale, but I gotta say their metalwork is often the worst looking in the biz. My seat cluster is a mess of unevenly sanded welds. They're stiff and reliable, but they sure ain't pretty. And I remember liking the team soloist welding the one time I've laid eyes on one.
