Pinarello F3:13 Ultegra ~$2000 vs. Kestrel RT700(pics)
Hey everyone, I tried the search engine, but it didn't give me any hits on this bike. Obviously I'm looking for a new bike and was wondering if I should go with a Pinarello or the Kestrel RT700 from the group buy (both will cost me around $2000 for the full bike). Any thoughts? The Pinarello will come with Ultegra but will have MOst cranks and bars (if you have opinions on MOst products, please chime in too).
The Pinarello seems like a new bike since there aren't many pics or reviews of late.... It isn't even listed on the OFFICIAL Pinarello website...... But it's damn sexy!!!!
VS
Please voice your opinions and pros/cons of each model. If you own any one of these, please chime in with personal thoughts and whether you would buy your frame again.
Also, if anyone would inform me of how to set up a poll, please let me know. Thanks
PS (Mods, feel free to set one up for me.)

Nuff said??? Com'on give me some technical facts!!!
I must admit, it's easy to write off the RT700 (white and black are my fav colors) and the pic of the Pinarello includes those expensive Campy wheels, but I heard that the F3:13 is supposedly heavy..... Too bad I couldn't find a spec sheet.....

Thanks for the input guys.... It IS difficult to ignore the Pinny (maybe I should have listed it second and used a "crappier" paint scheme....
Does this help????
Off color bars should set you Pinny guys back.... ;-)
Anyways the RT700 has internal Cable routing (which I'm a fan of) and a seat tube that hugs the rear wheel. I can easily look up those specs, the F3:13 seems to be eluding me..... I want specs!

Pinarello.
There's a reason Pinarellos are so sought after - they are an AMAZING ride. The Kestrel is great, sure, but vs. a Pinarello?!? That's like saying, yeah, you can choose between a Ferrari or a BMW. Sure, the BMW is great, and the Ferrari is a year or two old - but really? Who are you kidding?! That Ferrari will *ALWAYS* be a better car no matter how many years old. Pinarello follows suit.

Damn you for complicating my buying decision.
One look at it and I knew I must have it. I don't even know how it rides or what it weighs but I think the aesthetic appeal alone will make me happy with the purchase.

Did I miss a group buy that would have allowed me to buy a Pinarello for 2K? I assume you mean just the frame.

I googled the Pinarello and quickly found it for $2,300 (ultegra 10 build) so $2,000 isn't out of the question.

The 55cm is listed as 18.46lbs in mags.
Without question, I would be looking at the Pinarello.

Don't know about the Kestrel but I have ridden a 3:13.
I did not really like it. Found it to be a bit heavy, stiff and not happy with the aluminum seat post.
On the plus side the wheels aren't to bad for the price point of the bike. It handles .... awesome.
The ride was just to harsh for me. The al. seat post may have been a big part of it. But hey I am an old guy.
Ride one B4 you buy one.

I know its not carbon, but have you looked at the Cervelo Team Soloist?
I've been researching a $2000 bike for a while now and narrowed my selection down to the soloist having looked over the f3:13 etc. I hear great things about this bike from everyone I talk to, and everywhere I read about it! I took it for a test ride and loved it!
Here is a link to some reviews about the soloist
